Yes,the concepts of library has changed. But to what extent. Now we are using OPAC in place of card catalogue, read barcodes using the trendy barcode reader, help users to google and let them to search th once less accessed CDROMs or databases.

But, in this age of information deluge, every user is not only treated with lot of facts and figures but also with hours of multimedia and online content. When we have been waiting for them in the library, they are searching the ‘fresh’ things outside. They spend their ’second life’ in real time networks, whether it may be Blogs, Face book, Orkut, Twitter, IM, or wikis.

Now their discussions are held on chat rooms not in the corridors of library. They will never mind if a new book come in the library or a new service starts.

They changed. What about us?

Are we sitting comfortably in our chairs behind the classic library tables with out a thought on our existence ?

We have to decide the future.

If they are not coming to us, Meet Them Where They Are.

Yes. That is the only way.
